MISWeek 2025, SLS’s annual meeting, is a multidisciplinary meeting with content covering a range of specialties including general surgery, gynecology, endourology, pediatric surgery, surgical oncology, colorectal surgery, bariatric surgery, robotics, and more. Its target audience consists of general surgeons, gynecologists, urologists, pediatric, thoracic surgeons and others interested in laparoscopic, endoscopic, robotic, and minimally invasive surgical techniques and technologies. The meeting is open to surgeons, clinicians, allied health professionals, students, residents, fellows, and others.
Objectives:
The increasing complexity of minimally invasive diagnostics and therapy requires a continuous educational process. The exchange of knowledge and expertise among the physicians taking part in this conference contributes to the continuation of excellence in minimally invasive surgery.
Upon completion of the conference, participants will be able to:
- Increase comprehension of the basic and fundamental principles of laparoscopic, endoscopic, and minimally invasive techniques, enhancing the participant’s understanding of these techniques;
- Understand the recent advances in laparoscopic, robotic, and minimally invasive techniques;
- Determine the appropriate use of laparoscopic, robotic, and minimally invasive equipment as part of a treatment plan in the care of patients;
- Comprehend the developing technologies that will be available in the future to enhance the standard of patient care; and
- Apply acquire educational information within the physician’s specialty, which will enhance their professional development and patient care.

Abstract Submission
We invite the submission of abstracts for presentation at MISWeek 2025. We will be accepting submission for papers, videos, and posters.
Authors need not be members of the Society in order to submit material. The program will include scientific papers, videos, and posters on all topics and specialties involving the use of minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques and technologies including laparoscopy, endoscopy, robotic surgery, education, simulation, and outcomes, among others.
Selection of material for presentation will be based on quality, clarity, and relevance, as well as the significance of the material, as judged by evaluation of the content by the Abstract Review Committee. Awards will be given in various categories based on merit.
Abstract Submission will open December 1, 2024.

Minimally Invasive Surgery Week 2025, Where Laparoscopy and Robotics Meet, employs a variety of educational formats including hands-on and didactic master courses, topical general sessions, the presentation of scientific papers, open forums, posters, and original videos. The increasing complexity of minimally invasive diagnostics and therapy requires a continuous educational process. The exchange of knowledge and expertise among the physicians taking part in this conference contributes to the continuation of excellence in minimally invasive surgery.
CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION PROCESS FOR SLS
In order to provide a high level of continuing medical education for its members, The Society of Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgeons (SLS) follows the Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) in planning and developing CE activities.
To help as a planning guide SLS has a CE mission statement, which includes the CE purpose, content areas, target audience, and type of activities provided. SLS also identifies the expected results of its CE activity.
SLS identifies the educational needs and desired results for all CE activities.
SLS has an organizational structure that supports our CE activities.
In order to achieve a level of CE excellence for our members, SLS has developed a “Template of Excellence.” This document lists various examples of innovative ideas that SLS utilizes to exceed the basic level of compliance required by the ACCME. SLS looks forward to receiving input from you in order to continue to improve these processes and provide you with a meaningful continuing medical education in minimally invasive surgery.
ACCREDITATION
Accreditation:
The Society of Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgeons (SLS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Designation:
The SLS designates this live activity for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The American Board of Surgery Continuous Certification:
Successful completion of this CE activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CE and Self-Assessment requirements of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CE activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.
Learner participation will be shared through the ACCME’s Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS).
CLAIMING CREDITS

- Physician Learners: Participate in MISWeek 2025 and complete the evaluation and CE form components in order to claim AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.
- If you complete all necessary components, the Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons (SLS) will award the associated CE credit to the physician learner claiming credit.
The American Board of Surgery
In order to have credit reported to the ABS, participants are required to:
1. Participate in MISWeek 2025 and complete the evaluation and CE form components.
2. Complete the 3 Month Post Meeting Practice and Improvement Survey. Learner completion data will be reported 30 days after the learner engages in the activity and completes this requirement.
