Keyhole surgery, also known as Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), is when the surgeon makes small incisions like a keyhole and September 12, 1985 was the day that Professor Dr Med Erich Mühe of Germany performed the first keyhole surgery to remove a gallbladder.
